At its meeting, the Bulgaria Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) issued a package of supervisory and authorisation decisions spanning asset management, insurance intermediation, and licensing cases, including changes to its registers and a second-reading adoption of amendments to its fee framework. The FSC raised no ban on Euroconsult and Accounting Ltd.’s intention to acquire a direct qualified participation of 12.74% in Trend Asset Management AD. It approved Teodora Yankova to manage the compliance function of EUROINS LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY EAD, entered QUALITYLUX 33 Ltd. in the register of insurance brokers, and removed AKTIV GLOBAL EOOD, BROK LTD and VEDIS OOD from that register. The Commission also wrote off several sub-funds under the UBB ExpertEasy umbrella from its registers following a merger-driven transformation, covering UBB ExpertEase Defensive Balanced (BGN), UBB ExpertEase Defensive Tolerant (EUR), UBB ExpertEase Dynamic Balanced (EUR), UBB ExpertEase Dynamic Tolerant (EUR) and UBB ExpertEase Highly Dynamic Tolerant (EUR), which were managed by KBC ASSET MANAGEMENT N.V. acting through its Bulgarian branch. Promulgation of the amended fees ordinance in the State Gazette is pending. Separately, the FSC terminated proceedings related to Metaltrust Investor Care EDPC’s intention to operate as an alternative investment fund manager and requested additional information and documents from Biller Ltd. in connection with its application to be licensed as a crypto-asset service provider.
