The Argentina Securities Commission reported that President Roberto E. Silva discussed the proposed framework for Labor Assistance Funds (FALs) at an event hosted by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Argentina, continuing the authority’s outreach on the regime. He described FALs as potential long-term institutional investors that could expand capital-market financing and support the real economy. Silva outlined General Resolution No. 1161, which placed draft rules for FAL collective investment products under public consultation. The products could be structured as mutual funds or financial trusts under the framework established by Law No. 27,802, Decree No. 408/2026 and Economy Ministry Resolution No. 1276/2026. He said the CNV is considering international experience with long-term savings vehicles while adapting the proposed instruments to Argentina’s market.
