The Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino (CBSM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bulgaria’s Financial Supervision Commission (FSC), formalising bilateral cooperation and information exchange for supervisory and regulatory purposes across the FSC’s remit in capital markets, insurance, and pension insurance. The agreement concludes a cooperation process initiated in April 2025 that enabled collaboration prior to signature and is intended to provide a structured basis for mutual assistance in supervising and regulating supervised entities. The MoU was signed by CBSM Managing Director Andrea Vivoli and FSC President Vasil Golemansky; CBSM President Catia Tomasetti described it as the central bank’s tenth concluded memorandum, with seven signed over the last three years, including in view of the Association Agreement between San Marino and the European Union. CBSM indicated it plans to further expand cooperation arrangements with supervisory authorities in other European Union countries in the financial and insurance fields.
