The French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) has announced a set of initiatives to improve its support for the portfolio management companies it supervises, following its 2026 action and supervisory priorities. The package includes appointing specialist referents within the Directorate of Authorisations and Monitoring in the Asset Management Directorate for real estate management and for private equity. Their identities will be shown on the Asset Management Directorate organisation chart to be made available on the ROSA extranet. The referents will support AMF teams and, in particular, portfolio managers, who remain the main points of contact for French management companies, by providing domain expertise, supporting regulatory developments and promoting consistent positions and decisions, as well as serving as a reference contact for firms facing specific difficulties or discussing innovative topics. In addition, the AMF has named Pierre-Yvan Gaubert as a dedicated referent for entrepreneurial management companies, which represented 72% of French portfolio management companies as of 31 December 2024, to lead tailored support actions without replacing the portfolio managers’ role.
