The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the appointment of Kate Tyrrell as Treasury Chief of Staff. She most recently served at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as Chief of Staff, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Deputy Comptroller, where she managed day-to-day front office operations, oversaw public and legislative affairs, supported the Comptroller, and coordinated policy and operations across the agency and in the interagency process, including with Treasury. At the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Tyrrell also oversaw the Office of Management, including the chief financial officer, administrative operations, human capital and information technology services. Earlier roles included senior managing director at a real estate finance and investment firm, Deputy Chief of Staff at the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Deputy Executive Secretary at Treasury, and special counsel to the Chief Judge at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
