The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) issued an alert to the public following a press release by Alipay Financial Services (HK) Limited about a phishing message and a related fraudulent website, which the stored value facility (SVF) licensee has reported to the HKMA. The fraudulent website identified at the time of the alert is http://alihkpay[.]com/YTGaB. The HKMA advised anyone who provided personal information or account credentials, or conducted financial transactions, through or in response to the message or website to contact the relevant SVF licensee and report the matter to the Police or the Police’s Anti-Deception Coordination Centre.
