The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market (NSSMC) approved an order establishing how it will monitor the professional suitability of individuals appointed as heads of professional participants in capital markets and organized commodity markets (excluding banks), officials of internal control systems, and persons responsible for financial monitoring. The measure formalises the operating framework for the Commission for the Control of Professional Suitability, which checks compliance with legal and professional requirements. The order adopts the Control Commission’s rules of procedure, including a standing interview timetable of Mondays and Wednesdays from 14:00 to 17:00 and Fridays from 14:00 to 16:45. Interviews for managerial candidates must be conducted by at least two NSSMC members who sit on the Control Commission, while interviews for other candidates must be conducted by at least two Control Commission members designated by the NSSMC Chair and recorded in the minutes. An indicative list of topics used to assess professional suitability is also approved.
