Central Bank of Mongolia presents monetary policy and sustainable finance priorities at EuroChamber Back to Business event

The Central Bank of Mongolia participated in the EuroChamber’s annual “Back to Business” event, themed “Advancing Mongolia’s Economy to a New Stage through Sustainable Finance,” with a policy speech and a panel contribution focused on sustainable finance. Bayardavaa Bayarsaikhan, Chief Economist and Director General of the Monetary Policy Department, spoke on “Monetary Policy and Sustainable Finance,” covering the current economic situation, outlook and risks, recent monetary policy measures, and the central bank’s initiatives to promote green and sustainable finance. Urgamalsuvd Nanjid, Director of the Monetary Policy and Forecasting Division, joined a policy discussion that addressed access to climate finance, ESG-based investment policies and strategies, development of green bond markets, and legal and regulatory challenges to strengthening sustainable finance in Mongolia.
