The JFSC confirmed the impersonating entity, its website and email address are not connected to the genuine Hex Offshore Limited. It also warned that the impersonator is falsely claiming to trade from 3rd Floor, 44 Esplanade, St. Helier, JE4 9WG, Jersey, and is using the JFSC-issued certificate of incorporation of the genuine entity to add credibility. The regulator asked anyone who has had dealings with the impersonating entity to contact its Enforcement team and pointed to the Jersey Fraud Prevention Forum for guidance on avoiding scams and what to do if scammed.
