The Central Bank of Chile has introduced three new initiatives to preserve and broaden access to historical economic and financial information in more accessible formats, aimed at researchers, academics and the general public as part of its 100-year commemoration. The package comprises an “Economic Statistical Study No. 146: Milestones of the Central Bank of Chile and its Historical Balance Sheet (1925–2025)”, which compiles key institutional milestones and analyses the evolution of the Bank’s balance sheet; a dedicated website, “One hundred years of statistical information”, designed to centralise dissemination of historical statistics with a structured user experience; and a new “Historical Statistics” section within the Bank’s Statistical Database (BDE), bringing together long time series on the Central Bank of Chile’s balance sheet, monetary and financial statistics, and macroeconomic variables. The initiatives are intended to make a century of economic and financial information available in a centralised way to support long-run research and analysis.
