Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Products and Services (CONDUSEF) has launched the ninth edition of its Trazos Financieros children’s drawing and painting competition, aimed at strengthening financial education from an early age. The 2025 theme is “Financial Alert! Detect and avoid money leaks at home”, encouraging children to illustrate how to identify and prevent risky behaviours such as overspending, falling for scams, unnecessary expenses, or not saving. The contest is open to children aged 6 to 12 across Mexico, with online registration and drawing submissions accepted from 17 February to 7 April at the nearest CONDUSEF office. Winners in each category will receive prizes sponsored by Banco Azteca and Banamex, including savings accounts of MXN 25,000 for first place, MXN 15,000 for second place, and MXN 10,000 for third place, alongside financial education kits and a tablet for first place. CONDUSEF indicated that the awards date will be announced via its website and social media channels.
