The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) warned the capital markets and the public about alleged irregular activity by Metaverso Assessor de Investimento Ltda., Metaverso Soluções Digitais Ltda., and individuals Alan Augusto Pires Costa and Jonathan Rosa Vieira Bispo, who present themselves as responsible for the metaverso.ltda website, and ordered the immediate suspension of any public offering of investment advisory services or public fundraising for investment purposes. CVM’s Superintendent of Market and Intermediaries Relations (SMI) identified indications that the parties were seeking to raise funds from investors resident in Brazil and to carry out securities portfolio management activities and investment advisory. CVM stated that the named companies and individuals are not registered as investment advisers and have no CVM authorisation to receive investor funds for investment, and that Metaverso Assessor de Investimento Ltda., Metaverso Soluções Digitais Ltda., and Jonathan Rosa Vieira Bispo are not authorised to act as securities portfolio managers. The order was issued through Declaratory Act CVM 23,217.
