The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority published an update noting that Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has issued a decision appointing Mohamed Sabry as deputy chairman of the board of the Egyptian Exchange for a one-year term. Sabry most recently served as Assistant to the Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority for capital markets affairs from 26 August 2024 to August 2025, after working as Deputy Assistant to the Chairman and supervisor of the Trading Markets Supervision Sector from March 2023 to 26 August 2024. His earlier roles included work in the capital market unit at the Ministry of Investment, positions at securities brokerage firms, and a progression of roles at the Egyptian Exchange culminating in leading the trading supervision function.
