Moroccan Insurance Authority (ACAPS), in collaboration with FSD Africa, has opened applications for the 2025 edition of the BimaLab Africa Insurtech Accelerator, marking the third consecutive year of the call for innovative insurance projects in Morocco and targeting African insurtechs. The six-month programme offers technical training, mentoring, master classes, regulatory support and investor matchmaking, with selected start-ups also able to showcase their projects at relevant events to support visibility and partnership building. The 2025 cohort is expected to include 35 start-ups from 25 African countries, open to legally registered African start-ups operating in Africa or seeking to expand there and developing technology-led solutions in insurance, risk management or financial protection, with a focus on climate resilience and adaptation, financial inclusion and gender equality. Applications for the 2025 edition are open until 23 May 2025.
