The Philippines Insurance Commission announced that it received an unmodified audit opinion from the Commission on Audit for its 2024 financial statements, its seventh unmodified opinion over the last decade. In an Independent Auditor’s Report dated 2 June 2025, Commission on Audit State Auditor V Angelita C. Lomentigar concluded that the Commission’s financial statements fairly present its financial position as at 31 December 2024 and its financial performance, cash flows, changes in net assets or equity, and budget-to-actual comparison in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards. The Insurance Commissioner linked the result to the Commission’s focus on transparency, accountability, and fiscal prudence, noting its duty to manage public funds in line with regulatory priorities, and the release reiterated that an unmodified or unqualified opinion indicates the statements are free from material misstatements due to error or fraud.
