Thailand’s Ministry of Finance has provided an update on accelerated financial relief for households, farmers and businesses affected by the 2026 rainy season floods. Specialized financial institutions report assistance to 160,515 beneficiaries totaling THB 27.592 billion, covering immediate expenses, existing debt obligations, housing repairs and the restoration of livelihoods and businesses. The measures include emergency and recovery credit for farmers, home repair loans and debt payment moratoriums for households. Businesses can access repayment extensions and recovery financing, while the state credit guarantor is temporarily suspending guarantee fees and installments. A central flood relief coordination center, operating since Sept. 29, receives cases, provides information and routes assistance requests to the relevant agencies.
