The Supervisory Board of the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority has appointed Franz-Anton Steurer as a member of the Executive Board and Head of Asset Management and Markets, effective 1 July 2025. Steurer has led the division on an interim basis since the departure of Dr. Reto Degen at the end of March. A long-standing employee of the authority, he joined the FMA in 2012 and has been Head of the Supervision Division in the Asset Management and Markets Department since 2022, as well as Deputy Head of Division since 2023. The Asset Management and Markets Division supervises asset management companies, investment undertakings (funds) and their management companies, alternative investment funds and alternative investment fund managers, and serves as a notification and reporting office for companies and products admitted to trading on a stock exchange, with recent additions including event-driven supervision of TT service providers under the TVTG and service providers under MiCAR.

The Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority appointed Franz-Anton Steurer as Executive Board member and Head of Asset Management and Markets, effective 1 July 2025. Steurer, a long-standing employee, has led the division on an interim basis since March and been involved in supervisory roles since 2012. The division oversees asset management companies, investment funds, alternative investment fund managers, and handles notifications and reporting for stock exchange-traded entities.
