The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved several senior appointments in the insurance market, covering executive body, management body, chief accountant and insurance broker leadership roles. The approvals relate to D.A. Ashimov as a member of the executive body, Zh.M. Alkenova as chief accountant, A.A. Egemberdiev for multiple roles including head of a management body, head of an executive body, member of a management body, independent director, member of an executive body and head of an insurance broker, and A.A. Syzdykov as a management body member and independent director. The agency also noted that, under Kazakhstan's Law on Insurance Activity, a senior officer who already has the authorized body's consent for a managerial position may be transferred within one sector to a similar role without additional approval, provided the statutory qualification requirements are met. Existing consents for senior appointments are available through the regulator's insurance sector register of permits and notifications.
