The change is intended to allow incorporation of a larger data set when producing the monthly estimate. The revised timing is positioned as consistent with international practice for publishing monthly external sector statistics and with the publication schedule for Russia’s external trade data. Under the new schedule, the updated estimate for April 2025 is due on 16 June 2025, and the first estimate for May 2025 is due on 11 July 2025.
