The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) has invited preparers of financial statements to provide feedback on the International Accounting Standards Board’s (IASB) proposals on Risk Mitigation Accounting through a dedicated survey. The exercise is intended to surface any significant implementation or application issues, assess whether additional guidance may be needed, and estimate the effort required to implement and apply the proposals. The survey is split into 14 sections and covers both conceptual and practical aspects of the proposed model. EFRAG estimates completion will take around four hours, but respondents are not required to answer all questions and are encouraged to focus on the areas most relevant to them; some questions appear conditionally based on earlier responses. A document containing the survey questions is available for advance review. Stakeholders are invited to respond by 31 May 2026.
