The Vietnam State Securities Commission’s Securities Research and Training Center ran a two-day “Corporate Governance” course in Ho Chi Minh City on 4–5 October 2025 to strengthen governance capability in public companies and listed firms, with a focus on transparency and legal compliance. The programme targeted board members, senior management, supervisory boards, disclosure officers, company secretaries, legal teams and related functions, and formed part of the Center’s 2025 training plan for corporate governance certificate training for public company managers in southern provinces and cities. Content covered corporate governance fundamentals, international standards and practices, and Vietnam’s current legal requirements, including rules on boards, general meetings of shareholders, disclosure, conflicts of interest and information transparency obligations, and concluded with a discussion session addressing practical implementation issues such as independent director responsibilities and company secretary duties.
