The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group has launched a call for tender to appoint a service provider to conduct a cost and benefit analysis for the European Sustainability Reporting Standards for non-EU companies. The work will support development of the draft N-ESRS requested by the European Commission under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and reflected in the January 2025 Omnibus simplification proposal for non-EU companies with significant operations in the European Union. The selected contractor will prepare an evidence-based assessment of the expected costs and benefits of the draft standards and work with EFRAG using input from its public consultation, field testing and outreach alongside the contractor’s own research. The assignment has two deliverables: a preliminary analysis due in late September 2026 based on an exposure draft expected in mid-July 2026, and a final analysis due on 20 January 2027 based on EFRAG Technical Advice expected to be approved in January 2027. The tender is open to eligible organisations established or domiciled in the European Economic Area and European Free Trade Association countries, as well as consortia with relevant experience in economic analysis, sustainability reporting or regulatory impact assessment. Applications are due by 18 June 2026 close of business.
