The National Bank of Ukraine and the International Finance Corporation have signed a cooperation agreement under the Digital Finance Future Ukraine project, implemented in partnership with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs. The initiative will support wider use of cashless and digital financial services, improve access to financial products and strengthen the financial sector’s digital resilience through 2029. Cooperation will focus on financial innovation, including improvements to the regulatory sandbox and open banking framework, establishment of an Innovation Hub and analysis of barriers to financial inclusion. It will also support instant payments and other cashless payment practices, digital resilience at financial institutions, and education and awareness initiatives for digital financial services. The project follows the Digital Financial Services Development project, which ended on Dec. 31, 2024.
