The Albania Financial Services Authority reported that its Executive General Director, Mimoza Kaçi, participated in the Brezovica Economic Forum 2025 and, in a panel on access to finance, set out recent developments in Albania’s non-bank financial markets and the authority’s initiatives aimed at improving access to finance and directing businesses toward the capital market as an alternative source of funding. Her remarks highlighted efforts to broaden the range of financial instruments, alongside priorities on financial education, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises, and digitalisation as mechanisms to expand access to finance. The panel was moderated by the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, Ahmet Ismaili, and included senior representatives from regional financial institutions and central banks, including the Bank of Albania and the National Bank of North Macedonia, while a European Commission representative underlined Commission support for investment, capacity-building and the region’s European integration.
