The Central Bank of Kuwait, through the Kuwait Institute of Banking Studies, has launched the fourth cohort of the Risk Management Leaders Program under its Kafa’a initiative, delivered in collaboration with Kuwaiti banks. The programme is intended to strengthen risk management capabilities by equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to make decisions and develop effective risk management strategies within banks and financial institutions. The five-month programme is structured into four phases, starting with two Kuwait-based phases covering training and practical lectures across multiple risk management tracks delivered by local and international professional lecturers. It then moves to a phase focused on case studies and graduation projects, followed by a one-week hands-on field training phase delivered in collaboration with the School of Business, St Andrews University, with travel, accommodation and transportation costs covered. Admission criteria include Kuwaiti citizenship, an appropriate university qualification, at least five years of practical experience in Kuwait’s financial sector, and passing interviews and any prescribed tests. Applications are open from 3 August 2025 until 28 August 2025.
