Dominican Republic's Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN), the National Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (UNPHU) and pension fund administrator AFP Reservas concluded the “Regulation, Investments, Workers and Savings” (RITA) diploma programme, positioned as a capacity-building initiative for the country’s pensions and social security system. The programme aimed to develop a comprehensive and critical understanding of the Dominican pension system by training AFP Reservas professionals on core sector topics, including the rules governing the system, regulatory mechanisms, structural challenges and good practices affecting pension scheme management. Participants received completion certificates at a closing ceremony attended by senior representatives of UNPHU, AFP Reservas and SIPEN.
