The State Bank of Vietnam published an update on the National Currency Printing Factory’s 2026 workers’ congress in Hanoi, where factory management reported delivering the 2025 production plan in full and outlined 2026 priorities focused on banknote quality, cost control and modernization. The central bank also announced commendations for factory teams and staff. For 2025, the factory reported completing 100% of its production plan, meeting quantity and quality requirements, with basic financial targets met or exceeded and employee welfare improved. Labour policies on pay and bonuses were implemented in full, with 100% of employees signing labour contracts in line with regulations, alongside continued work on workplace conditions and occupational safety and hygiene; procurement of materials and inputs was described as proactive, transparent and compliant. Organisational changes included restructuring to reduce four of 19 departmental units, expanding annual training, and progressing investment projects to upgrade infrastructure and modernise production lines. For 2026, the factory set objectives to complete the banknote printing plan, reduce defective output and production costs, and accelerate the NH.09B project with the aim of bringing a new banknote printing plant into operation once the project is completed, aligned with its 2026–2030 development strategy. Further priorities include expanded use of new technologies such as digital prepress, development of technical standards for printing materials, a comprehensive review of staffing linked to high-quality skills development, and stronger financial management and internal controls. Within the event, the State Bank of Vietnam awarded the Governor’s certificates of merit to four collectives and nine individuals, and conferred the “Banking sector emulation soldier” title on three individuals for achievements in the 2022–2024 emulation period.
