The Japan Financial Services Agency has published the outcome of its public consultation on a draft partial amendment to the Comprehensive Supervisory Guidelines for Licensed Specified Insurance Operators and confirmed that the revised guidelines will apply from 1 June 2026. The agency reported that it received no particular comments on the draft. The consultation ran from 17 April 2026 to 17 May 2026. Details of the revisions are set out in Appendix 1, which the agency identified as the main old and new comparison table for the supervisory guideline changes.
