The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan has reissued the banking licenses of Citibank Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan-Ziraat International Bank, expanding the activities each bank is permitted to conduct. Citibank Kazakhstan’s universal banking license now includes interbank loans, interbank guarantees, interbank sureties and other interbank operations. Kazakhstan-Ziraat International Bank received the same added interbank permissions and also gained authority to open and maintain metal accounts for individuals and legal entities that specify the exact quantity of refined precious metals and precious metal coins owned by those clients. The changes were made under orders No. B-147, No. B-148 and No. B-149 signed by the deputy chairman on July 16. The reissued licenses are universal banking licenses numbered 1.1.832.138 for Citibank Kazakhstan and 1.1.885.139 for Kazakhstan-Ziraat International Bank.

The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan reissued the banking licenses of Citibank Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan-Ziraat International Bank to expand their permitted operations. Both banks can now conduct additional interbank operations, while Kazakhstan-Ziraat also gained permission to open and maintain client metal accounts for refined precious metals and precious metal coins.
