The Bank of Italy hosted the third edition of the “Women in Central Banking” workshop on 6–7 November 2025, as part of its diversity and inclusion initiatives aimed at supporting the presence of women in central banks. Co-organised with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and Norges Bank, the event brought together female Ph.D. and post-doctoral researchers to present work relevant to central banking and engage with senior economists. Following a call for papers, 12 contributions were selected and organised into sessions on inflation and monetary policy, banks and financial markets, and the labour market. The workshop was opened by Andrea Brandolini, Head of the Economics and Statistics Department, and featured keynote lectures and mentoring by Chiara Scotti, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Italy, and Clara Raposo, Deputy Governor of Banco de Portugal, with Riccardo Basso, Diversity Manager at the Bank of Italy, also participating. The 2026 edition will be hosted by Banco de México.
