The Angola Capital Markets Commission approved the registration of ALPHA 1, a private-subscription venture capital fund promoted by KASSAI CAPITAL – SGOIC, S.A. The fund’s stated exclusive purpose is to invest in equity instruments such as quotas, shares and securities or rights that are convertible, exchangeable or confer acquisition rights, as well as in debt instruments. It may also provide shareholder loans and supplementary or ancillary capital contributions to investee companies, provide guarantees for investee companies linked to the investment activity, invest cash surpluses in financial instruments, undertake financial operations necessary for its activity, and acquire units in other venture capital investment funds. KASSAI CAPITAL – SGOIC, S.A. is the management company and Banco de Negócios Internacional, S.A. is the depositary.
