The Reserve Bank of India has assigned lead bank responsibility for Assam's newly created Bajali district to Canara Bank. The move follows the Government of Assam's notification creating the district and its subsequent notification setting out Bajali's jurisdictional boundaries. The central bank has also allotted Bajali the district working code 01O. Lead bank assignments for all other districts in Assam remain unchanged.

The Reserve Bank of India has designated Canara Bank as the lead bank for Assam’s newly created Bajali district, following the state government’s notification establishing the district and its jurisdictional boundaries. The central bank has also allotted Bajali the district working code 01O, while lead bank assignments for all other districts in Assam remain unchanged.
