The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) announced that Director Júlia Normande Lins will participate in an online webinar marking Brazil’s National Trans Visibility Day, focused on progress in adopting “social name” fields in the insurance sector. The event, titled “Advances in the Use of Social Names in the Insurance Sector”, will be held online on 5 February 2025 from 14:30 to 15:30 via Zoom and YouTube. It will discuss how insurers have promoted respect and inclusion of transgender people through implementing a “social name” field in contractual documents, following a sector adjustment deadline set by SUSEP together with supervised entities one year earlier. Other speakers include CNseg’s Technical and Studies Director Alexandre Leal and Zurich Minas Brasil Seguros Talent & Culture Specialist Rafaela Mesquita.
