The Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA), working with the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), held a high-level dialogue in Dubai to discuss how Arab securities regulators can support financial services innovation and incorporate new technologies into regulatory frameworks. Hosted at the Dubai International Financial Centre, the session brought together representatives from UASA member regulators alongside regional financial sector leaders and innovation experts. Discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities arising from rapid developments in areas including FinTech, digital assets, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity risk management, aligned with UASA’s Strategic Plan 2021–2025 and follow-up work on technical assistance needs and knowledge-sharing mechanisms. The agenda also included presentations on the DFSA Innovation Testing Licence, the DIFC financial services ecosystem and the DFSA Cyber Threat Intelligence Platform, as well as a tour of the DIFC Innovation Hub.
