The Bank of Greece announced the conclusion of a two-day visit by Claudia Buch, Chair of the European Central Bank Supervisory Board (Single Supervisory Mechanism), and Dominique Laboureix, Chair of the Single Resolution Board, centred on strengthening cooperation between the European bodies and the national authority. Meetings were held with Governor Yannis Stournaras, senior Bank of Greece officials and supervisory staff, as well as with representatives of Greek banks’ management bodies and the Hellenic Bank Association. Discussions covered the situation and prospects of Greek banks, supervisory and institutional cooperation between the European institutions and the Bank of Greece, and the outlook and challenges for the Greek economy, alongside sessions with research institutes and academics on climate change and sustainability. Deputy Governor Christina Papaconstantinou and Director General for Prudential Supervision and Resolution Ioannis Tsikripis attended the meetings.
