The European Banking Authority has published the final technical package for version 4.3 of its reporting framework, setting the operational specifications for new reporting by Third-Country Branches under the Capital Requirements Directive and for data collection supporting the Anti-Money Laundering Authority's risk assessment methodology. In practical terms, the package gives firms and supervisors the validation rules, data point model and XBRL taxonomies needed to implement those reporting obligations. For Third-Country Branches, the package supports the final draft Implementing Technical Standards on supervisory reporting under Article 48l(1) of the Capital Requirements Directive, with a first reference date of 31 March 2027. For AMLA risk assessment reporting, it introduces data point model and taxonomy components to support identification of obliged entities that will fall under AMLA's direct supervision, with a first reference date of 31 December 2026. The release also includes updated data point model annotated templates, common data points, validation rules, glossary and related XBRL taxonomy, and adds a new Glossary Usage Exploration file to help users navigate concepts, definitions and relationships across the reporting framework. The final package incorporates stakeholder feedback received after the draft version published on 17 April 2026. The EBA said it may issue a targeted hotfix at the end of September if early implementation reveals critical points requiring clarification or adjustment.
