Canada’s Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions confirmed that Laurence Frappier has assumed the role of Chief Actuary following the announcement of her appointment in June 2026. She is responsible for independent actuarial reports on major social security programs, including the Canada Pension Plan, and on pension and benefit plans for federal public servants and other federal plan members. Frappier joined the Office of the Chief Actuary in 2011 and most recently served as senior director. In that role, she led actuarial reporting, studies and advisory work covering the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security Program, Employment Insurance and other programs.
