The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) organised a financial education seminar for university students from Tbilisi and other regions, aimed at improving understanding of the central bank’s functions, key priorities and the wider financial sector. Sessions covered financial market stability, consumer rights, management of financial reserves, anti-money laundering measures, and the regulation and supervision of banking and non-banking institutions. The programme also addressed the operation of Georgia’s main payment systems, the regulatory framework for securities markets and virtual asset providers, and recent technological developments. Supported by the Department of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth, the interactive seminar brought together more than 40 students from public and private universities.
