The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP), supported by CNseg, FenSeg, FenaPrevi and FenaCap, held the event “Insurance for All: financial education, socioeconomic vulnerability and inclusive insurance” as part of the 12th National Financial Education Week. The in-person session took place at the Ministry of Education auditorium in Brasília and was livestreamed on SUSEP’s and CNseg’s YouTube channels. The programme covered three panels. On “Financial and Insurance Education: Progress and Challenges”, SUSEP director Airton de Almeida Filho presented SUSEP’s study on financial education initiatives carried out by supervised entities, alongside CNseg’s initiatives on the topic. The panel on “The National Policy for Access to Insurance: Contributions from the Sector” presented projects and practices to expand access to insurance for vulnerable and low-income groups, with SUSEP director Julia Normande Lins highlighting the need for products tailored to low-income consumers and premiums compatible with their income. The “Long-term Financial Sustainability” panel discussed broadening engagement in financial education and expanding pension-type plans, including the role of open private pension products as an alternative mechanism for informal workers. The full recording is available on SUSEP’s YouTube channel, and National Financial Education Week runs until 18 May with additional events across Brazil.
