Thirty-three percent of respondents expected conditions to improve, while 29 percent expected them to worsen. The 15th annual survey was conducted November 7–25, 2024. On costs, 58 percent of members reported higher prices paid in 2024 versus 2023, down from 77 percent reporting increases in the prior year’s survey. The most common problems cited were labor costs, financing and interest rates, and poor sales, and 24 percent said uncertainty about regulations and government policy was a problem.
