CDP has released its 2025 A List results, showing continued growth in environmental disclosure across companies and sub-national governments and naming 877 companies and 122 cities, states and regions with top-tier A scores. Demand signals came from 640 investors representing USD 127 trillion in assets and more than 270 major buyers seeking disclosures from around 45,000 suppliers through CDP’s Supply Chain program. In total, more than 23,100 companies and public-sector entities disclosed through CDP in 2025, including over 22,100 companies representing more than half of global market capitalization, with nearly 20,000 companies scored. Only 4% of scored companies made the Corporate A List, including 23 “Triple A” companies scoring A across climate change, forests and water security, while Asia and Europe had the highest proportions of A List companies in several markets (including Japan and Türkiye at 12% and France at 12%). Since 2023, the number of A scores rose from 346 to 751 for climate, from 101 to 263 for water security, and from 30 to 55 for forests; for sub-national entities, more than 1,000 cities, states and regions representing over one billion people disclosed, with A scores awarded to 15% of those scored. CDP also published the A List methodology and criteria alongside the scores.
