The National Bank of Georgia announced that its Governor, Natia Turnava, is participating in the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Annual Meetings in the United States as part of the Georgian delegation, alongside a week-long programme of bilateral meetings and investor engagement. Planned meetings include discussions with IMF Deputy Managing Director Bo Li, IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department Director Jihad Azour, and IMF Mission Chief for Georgia Alejandro Hajdenberg, as well as World Bank Europe and Central Asia Vice President Antonella Bassani and World Bank Executive Director Eugene Rhuggenaath. Within the framework of bilateral cooperation, Turnava is also scheduled to meet Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra, and to hold sessions with J.P. Morgan, Citibank and Bank of America to present Georgia’s investment potential and macroeconomic environment to representatives of international investment funds and institutional investors; the agenda also includes an IMF high-level roundtable and a regional meeting for central bank governors and finance ministers from the Caucasus and Central Asia.
