The Central Bank of Chile announced that its President, Rosanna Costa, will travel to Washington, D.C. on 13 October to attend the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Annual Meetings and participate in official IMF activities involving the IMF Board of Governors. Her programme includes bilateral meetings with IMF leadership and staff, including Rodrigo Valdés, who is due to assume as Director of the Fiscal Affairs Department on 27 October, Nigel Chalk, the recently appointed Director of the Western Hemisphere Department, and the IMF mission team for Chile. Costa will also join meetings of the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies and attend a breakfast convened by the central banks of Denmark, Finland and Sweden with women central bank leaders to discuss developments in payment systems. In parallel, she will speak at seminars and meet international investors to discuss Chile’s macroeconomic outlook and current conditions.
