The Central Bank of Poland has released monetary statistics showing that Poland’s M3 money supply rose by PLN 19.9bn in August 2025 to PLN 2,626.0bn, up from the end of July. The increase was mainly attributed to higher household deposits and other claims, as well as an expansion in cash in circulation. Within M3, deposits and other claims of households increased by PLN 7.2bn (0.5%) to PLN 1,391.6bn, local government institutions by PLN 2.2bn (2.0%) to PLN 111.8bn, and non-financial corporations by PLN 1.6bn (0.3%) to PLN 549.2bn. Cash in circulation rose by PLN 4.9bn (1.2%) to PLN 430.5bn. On the liabilities side, net debt of central government entities increased by PLN 8.6bn (1.7%) to PLN 507.7bn, non-financial corporate debt by PLN 5.8bn (1.3%) to PLN 455.1bn, and household debt by PLN 3.5bn (0.4%) to PLN 817.1bn.
