The Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced that senior advisor Brigitte Weyls will depart the agency after more than 17 years of public service. Weyls joined the CFTC in August 2008 and worked across major litigation, policy and rulemaking initiatives, including matters involving prediction markets, digital assets and precious metals. She held roles in the Division of Enforcement, Division of Market Oversight and the Office of the General Counsel, and established the Division of Enforcement’s Triage Unit to centralize intake, evaluation and prioritization of enforcement referrals and complaints. Her later roles included chief counsel to Commissioner Caroline D. Pham, senior counsel to acting Chairman Pham, and designated federal officer for the Global Markets Advisory Committee and the Agricultural Advisory Committee.
