The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has published perimeter guidance on the provision of registered office and accommodation address services, aimed at helping companies and individuals assess whether their activities fall within its regulatory perimeter and may require authorisation. The guidance focuses on the Financial Services Act 2008 and Class 4 of the Regulated Activities Order 2011, under which registered office and accommodation address services are treated as a regulated activity. It highlights that persons providing these services by way of business should consider whether they need a licence or whether an applicable exclusion or exemption applies, and also signposts a Central Registry practice note covering certain registered office requirements.
