The Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions of Puerto Rico has published a public notice proposing to adopt a regulation that would standardise how requests for Administrative Determinations are submitted, assessed and issued, and would enable the agency to charge fees for processing those requests. The proposed regulation would apply to Administrative Determinations connected to any law or regulation under OCIF’s jurisdiction. It would also authorise OCIF to set the applicable charges through a circular letter, with the draft made available for public inspection. OCIF has provided a 30-day period from publication of the notice for stakeholders to submit written comments or request an oral hearing, including the reasons supporting any hearing request.
