The Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority issued an investor warning about firms marketing crypto investments and other financial products through unauthorised trading platforms that lack permission to provide investment services in Norway. It stressed that these operators are not supervised in Norway and advised investors not to enter into agreements with, or transfer money to, such platforms. Finanstilsynet highlighted common red flags, including displays of undocumented “live profits”, “AI trading” claims or fabricated charts, aggressive follow-up calls after registration pushing a minimum deposit often around EUR 250 or USD 250, and difficulties withdrawing funds such as additional fee demands, frozen accounts and disappearing contacts. It recommended treating social media adverts and investment advice critically, researching the company, resisting pressure to act quickly and checking whether the provider is listed in Finanstilsynet’s business register, and it published warnings against trading on Blank-finvex (also marketed as Blankfinvex), Evig-flowmex, Hoyde-finlore, Frostmark-tradewise, Hoy-invexa, Immediate-fintrevo, Palitelig-fluxrad, Lys-tradvision and Sterk-fincap.
