The Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA), together with the Palestinian Land Authority, launched a new service enabling citizens to pay Land Authority transaction fees electronically through the National Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment System, E-SADAD, removing the need for cash payments or in-person visits. In the first phase, fees can be paid via E-SADAD across all banking applications and e-wallets. A second phase is planned to allow electronic payment for property purchases through the platform, without cash and free of charge. E-SADAD is supervised by the PMA and managed by the Palestinian Payment Services Company, and the PMA noted the rollout supports reduced reliance on cash amid banks’ ongoing Israeli shekel (ILS) accumulation crisis.
