Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) has opened the call for entries for the 10th edition of its “Trazos Financieros” children’s drawing and painting competition, positioning it as a financial education initiative for children using art and play. The 2026 theme, “El juego está en tus finanzas” (“The game is in your finances”), links money-management decisions to a football metaphor in the context of the Football World Cup to be held in Mexico. The competition is open to Mexican children aged 6–12 living in Mexico, with two categories (6–9 and 10–12). Registration runs from 10 February to 15 April 2026 (closing 16:00 Mexico City time), with digital submissions accepted until 23:00 the same day in JPG format via the official competition portal. A judging panel will select 11 winning drawings: first, second and third place in each category (six total) plus five special or honorary mentions; prizes sponsored by Scotiabank, Banamex and Banorte include children’s savings accounts of $25,000, $15,000 and $10,000 for first to third place (plus an electronic tablet and financial education kits), and $8,000 savings accounts for each special mention. An awards ceremony is scheduled for 30 April 2026 in Mexico City.
